As COVID-19 restrictions are being followed with all protocols in UAE and job market is drastically evolving.

Only LinkedIn is a platform that lets you connect with the recruiters and managers and as an employee you need to give your best shot.

As the competition is too high, so how would you stand in the audience?

First, you left your own country for better job for survival or for better opportunities, so you need to make the most of it.

Don’t just apply and sit idle, try to connect with them and impress them with your talent.

When you’ve the opportunity and locally available in the UAE then you just need to make an extra effort.

Connect, tag and meet with people from the industry that can help you.

How do you do that?

Well, like you there are many employees who are applying for the same role and trying their based to get into the market.

What you do to get a job?

You need to first find out the company where exactly it is located and then pitch for your profile, this is the chance you’ve to impress the recruiters or hiring manager by meeting them personally for the role that can give you more insights and options to recruiters as well to select from.

It is also a good gesture when you meet out side of the office for a cup of tea or coffee based on the circumstances.

I would always say just be unique and give your best shot, don’t just script yourself like a machine.

Few tips to make a handshake with recruiters?

Find out when they login and timings etc.

When you see your sale is coming out of the office, start your pitch with greetings and tell them that I was just passing by the company and noticed that I’ve applied here for so and so position and I even messaged you on LinkedIn for the same, however, I’m just trying to know more insights about the role and company’s culture to get into it.

I’m here on so and so visa status and would be happy to join the role from next week and so on, keep it very simple and short.

Try to get their email id instead of contact details as people will not ready to provide their contact details in the first attempt.

So, ensure you use the technology and get the email ID for followups etc.

With this strategy, you just made the work simple for hiring manager as you told your visa status and the skills that you hold.

When you make things easier for others then you basically, working smart not hard and this attitude can impress the recruiter.

Carry your profile with you always or if not just encrypt your LinkedIn profile in the form of QR code and just have your recruiter scans the QR code that can take him/her to your LinkedIn profile.

This is the peak time that you need to be more confident in your job search strategy and try to meet as much people you can to spread the word.

It is up-to you how you would utilize the market.

There is another approach you can do on LinkedIn.

Make a video for 2 or 3 mins describing yourself that can go far away from applying jobs,

If you just do that the employer will see a different approach in you in terms of exploring the opportunities and it might help you.

People already started a video challenge for 21 days or 30 days for marketing purposes, so yours are different, you just need to make one video and tag your relevant connections that can make you visible and can put you on top of all searches.

BEST OF LUCK TO ALL UAE JOB SEEKER’S.
